Built for Spanish-speaking adults in the United States, and for the teachers, counselors and family members helping them get started.

What this is

Latino GED is a free web application that prepares adults for all four GED subject tests entirely in Spanish: Mathematical Reasoning, Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning Through Language Arts. It runs in any phone browser, needs no download, and asks for no email address, no payment, and no card.

Why it exists

Most free GED material in Spanish is a scanned booklet or a video playlist. Adults who work two jobs need something else: short lessons they can hear while commuting, practice that tells them what they got wrong, and a score estimate that says whether they are ready to sit the real exam.

Every lesson has a listen button that reads it aloud in Spanish, practice questions with worked explanations, flashcards on a spaced repetition schedule, and timed full-length practice tests that estimate a score on the real 100 to 200 scale, where 145 passes.

For programs and counselors

There is nothing to license and no seat limit. Students create their own account with a username and password, and progress follows them from phone to computer. If you run an adult education program and want to point students here, the direct link is latinoged.com.

A note on New York

New York has used the GED as its high school equivalency exam since January 2022, the state covers the cost for eligible residents, and the test is offered in Spanish. Passing the language arts test in Spanish produces a diploma with a Spanish designation. Rules vary by state, so confirm with ged.com.
